Dermatology

Solano Clinical Research, with over 20 years of experience, has conducted over 200 studies for a variety of dermatological indications for many top pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. Our Principal Investigators include two board certified Dermatologists with clinical research experience. Our full-time Recruiter/Retention Specialist maintains a database of 2500 patients with dermatology indications. By pre-screening from this database and recruiting through outreach programs in the community, our on site recruiter facilitates rapid screening and enrollment. We met or exceeded enrollment for 14 of 17 dermatology studies in the last 2 years. Retention rates of 90%+ were achieved in 8 of 16 dermatology studies. Our site also specializes in outpatient PK/Absorption studies.

Solano Clinical Research Achieves the Highest Enrollment and Highest Retention Rate for a Phase IV Psoriasis Study

Solano Clinical Research was the top enroller of 2 sites participating in a study to compare the efficacy of 2 topical products. Since our site was the first to achieve the enrollment goal, we were approved by the sponsor to enroll an additional 10 subjects for a total of 50 subjects. The retention rate for this 6 week study was 96%. The sponsor was very satisfied with enrollment, timeliness of CRF completion and turnaround time for query resolution. The same study team members conducted the study from start to finish. Solano Clinical Research was the first to complete the study.

Solano Clinical Research Completes Phase II Atopic Dermatitis Study with Excellent Rating

Solano Clinical Research was one of the top three enrollers of 29 sites participating in a Phase II study to compare the safety and efficacy of a topical vs. vehicle in pediatric and adolescent subjects with Atopic Dermatitis. We enrolled the first patient within 12 days after IRB approval. Our efforts contributed to the sponsor being able to reach their target one month ahead of schedule. Turnaround time for query resolution was 24 to 48 hours, well below the 7 day requirement. The sponsor’s monitor gave Solano Clinical Research an excellent commendation after the study close-out visit.
